Sókrates v1 saleable promise

This file is the single source of truth for the v1 promise sentence. Every pitch, one-pager, deck, and sales conversation riffs on this — none contradict it. If reality diverges from this sentence, we update this file first and propagate.

Canonical promise (English, authoritative)

We connect two systems, build a unified operational map, answer cross-system questions in one interface, and send one proactive weekly report with evidence.

Canonical promise (Icelandic)

TODO (founder): author the canonical Icelandic sentence. The authoritative Icelandic voice lives in docs/one-pager.md — derive the canonical sentence from there rather than translating the English. Any machine translation has been removed from this file because we do not ship Icelandic prose we have not personally vetted.

The four actions (explicit)

  1. Connect two systems. v1 scope is exactly two source systems per customer — typically one CRM / sales system and one operational system (accounting, service desk, ERP module). Not one. Not five. Two.
  2. Build a unified operational map. Entities and relationships from both systems resolve into a single graph the customer can see and query. The map is the product, not a byproduct.
  3. Answer cross-system questions in one interface. The customer asks questions that neither source system can answer alone — same customer across sales and accounting, same bottleneck across service and ops — and gets an answer, with citations, in one place.
  4. Send one proactive weekly report with evidence. Once per week, Sókrates surfaces the patterns that shifted, the anomalies that recurred, and the questions the customer did not think to ask — with evidence links back into the map.

What this sentence does NOT promise (v1)

  • No on-box / local model inference. v1 inference routes through Hermes Agent to a remote provider (currently OpenRouter). Local inference on a finetuned model is a future tier (DGX Spark hardware), not v1. Do not market it.
  • No autonomous org-chart roaming. The “Philosopher King wanders the org chart” framing is superseded — it implied agentic reach we do not deliver in v1.
  • No more than two connectors. Adding a third system is an upsell, not a v1 deliverable.

Change protocol

Changes to the canonical sentence require a founder-level decision. If a pitch or doc needs to say something this sentence does not cover, either the sentence expands or the pitch is wrong. Default to: the pitch is wrong.
